Mutabbaq An Arabic Snack / Saudi Street Food/Chicken Stuffed Paratha

  • 3 cups maida
  • ½ Cup ghee
  • 2 tbsp Fresh green coriander
  • 1 Large onion, finely chopped
  • 1 beaten Egg for each dough sheet
  • ½ Cup water
  • Salt to taste


For Meat Filling:

  • ½ cup meat mince
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 Onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp Fresh ginger, finely minced
  • 2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 2 tsp dhanya powder
  • 2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tbsp coriander, finely chopped
  • 2 tsp green chillies, finely chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
The name mutabbaq in Arabic مطبق means “folded”. In Indonesia, it is one of the most popular street foods and is known as “martabak”. Mutabbaq is an Arabic bread with egg and spicy meat filling. It's delicious and can be enjoyed at breakfast, lunch or even at tea time
